Playing Catch-Up

As most of you who have stopped by my blog in the past month or so, I am sure you have noticed that I have not been keeping up with postings as much as I would like to, and somewhere in the midst of it all, Life took over. There are SO many updates and wonderful news to share with you all & I hope that this posting (...and the MANY more to come) will make up for my neglect!

First off... you can NOW shop Domestic Goddess Creations on Etsy.com!!! I opened up the shop in January and am proud to say that since doing so I have sent orders to Washington, Texas, Colorado and even Spain! I am an internantional seller! :) It may not be exciting to most, but for me... it was an accomplishment full of pure joy!

I have also created a Fan Page on Facebook.com to keep customers, friends & supporters up-dated on my current projects and new products to come!

Jennifer Porter Designs has been a HUGE help with all of my logos, business cards and product tags. She does some amazing work and is wonderful to work with! If you are a business owner, or just admire adorable design you have to take a look at her work! She is an amazingly talented graphic artist! http://jenniferporterdesigns.com/

Along with trying to establish a business... I have been working non-stop on new designs, event and party planning as well as completing and shipping orders. I never knew how much work it takes to balance it all! Through the past 2 months, I have always had the blog in the back of my mind. Telling myself "Ok...Jennifer, tonight you need to sit down and catch-up on the blogging world" I always tell myself that I am going to... but somehow it continues to get pushed to the bottom of the list EVERY time! So HERE I am, it is now nearly April, but i'm actually doing it!!

another rainy day...

Photobucket

It's another rainy day here in Southern California... so what better day to stay inside by the fire, with a warm cup of hot chocolate and craft! I found these adorable cardboard die-cut signs at Michael's last week in the dollar section and just couldn't pass them by!

I had a great idea of making these cardboard cut-out's into decorative signs to hang in my friend's little girls bedroom. So I broke out the Martha Stewart glitter and got to work!

Photobucket

I started out by placing the cardboard cut-out onto an oversized cardstock card.(this makes cleaning up excess glitter much easier!) Using a foam craft brush & Tacky Glue, I then brushed a thin & even coat of glue over each letter, brushing the glue in the same direction (from left to right).

Photobucket

TIP: let the glue sit for about a min. so that the glue has time to set up and become "tacky" to really adhere to the glitter.

After the glittering was complete, I set both die-cut's aside to dry.

Finish off by embellishing with some Martha Stewart Silk Ribbon and it's now ready to hang up and add a little touch of whimsy to any room!
